Welcome to the Village of TheodoreTheodore was incorporated as a Village in 1907 and in 2007 we will celebrate our centennial. Our population consists of approximately 380 friendly residents. We are situated on the Yellowhead Highway #16, which runs from Manitoba to the West Coast. We are in a mixed agricultural area know as the Parkland Region which is geographically in one of the best regions in the province, close to all the big city amenities and still able to benefit from all the advantages of a small town lifestyle. we enjoy an abundance of sunshine and clear skies. We have all the modern conveniences of many larger centers such as shopping, recreation, camping, golf, fire protection, garbage pick-up, 911, first responders, cable TV and more. We have a K-8 separate school in our community and a public school just 15 minutes away. The high school and post secondary education facilities are just 23 minutes away. We have close access to churches, health care, restaurants, recreation, cultural and historical facilities. we are fortunate to have one of the lowest real-estate prices in the province. Our property taxes are at the lower end of the scale and have remained that way for the past several years thanks to a very efficient local government. Our closest city of approximately 20,000 is Yorkton, which provides us with other necessities not found here, including large malls, a casino and theatres, a modern hospital and doctors, and large industry. Within an hours drive of Theodore we have access to major industries such as oil and gas exploration, mining, manufacturing, agricultural operations, intensive livestock operations, and food processing facilities. We have an extremely good water supply being
only four miles from the Theodore Reservoir and about 40 - 60 KM (25 -
40 Miles) from two of the largest underground aquifers in the Province.
Our geographical location is excellent for access to the major traffic
infrastructure routes as we are situated on the main CPR line and on highway
#16, which crosses Western Canada and connects us directly to Eastern
and Western Canada as well as the North.
